The images used for the navigation bar can be animated. For example, as an image for new PM's you could have red PM text flashing as the chosen file.

? What? It worked for me. I just made an animation of 'New PM's' and it showed an exclamation point flashing, then I used the link in my Nav. bar and it worked.
